If you are thinking about doing a Cambridge exam, there are a few things you need to think about first.
Should I do the computer-based or paper-based exam?
Discuss with your teacher whether you should do the paper-based on the computer-based exam. One of the advantages of the computer-based exam is that it is marked faster and the words are counted automatically on the writing paper. Some people prefer doing things the old-fashioned way with paper and pen though so keep an open mind. Whichever way you choose, make sure you do some practice papers in the same format!!
When is the speaking test held?
Sometimes the speaking test is not held on the same day as the main exam. Make sure you check this when you sign up for the test.
When will I get the exam results?
It can take a while to get your results. Your exam provider should be able to give you an idea of when you'll receive them. If you need the results quickly the computer-based test might be a better option.
When should I sign up?
The exams can get booked up quite quickly so if you have a strong preference regarding the date and location of the exam, you should sign up sooner rather than later.
