Previous lessons
18 January - I would like you to read this heart-warming story about the production of Eiswein. It's about having the determination to do something even when the odds are stacked against you. In the article, you'll come across some lovely idioms including the 'icing on the cake' and the 'jewel in the crown' Which expression do you think is more appropriate in the context of the article?
4 January - Let's start the new year with an episode of 6-minute English. Listen to the podcast and think about why so many people prefer to text rather than talk. If you have time, you can also listen to the original episode of The Why Factor on which this podcast is based. (I don't think we've done this topic already but if we have, let me know and I will choose a different topic).
